I just installed a gas hot water tank in a rental. All new cpvc plumbing. The cold is working perfect, the hot isnt going through any of the lines. Almost as if there is no pressure pushing it. The water heater gets hot, its just that it doesnt seem to leave the tank. Is there something i have to do to jump start the pressure?

No. 1 suspect is a stuck heat-trap nipple. If not that, try the backflushing trick described in Tanklets (link at top of index page). Randy Schuyler

Hello, May be there is a problem with the hot water supply line. You can also take help from your local plumber who can tell you the exact problem. Regards, Olivia

Olivia, We do not permit any sort of advertisement in The Tank. Your kind of post is not really an answer, but just a pretext to leave an advertising link. I'm signing on in a minute as Admin and deleting your link. I'm leaving your post as a warning to you and others. Randy Schuyler

Hello: Sometimes the shut off valve to the heater fails when you operate it to replace the heater. Try running water from the heater drain. If it comes out forcefully for ten seconds, the tank has pressure and flow and the heat trap nipple or something downstream must be blocked. Yours, Larry
