Need a new tank. Average life is 8-12 years-my 40 gallon gas hot water tank lasted 17 years! I did some google searches on ones they sell at Home Depot and many complaints. I am guessing Bradford & White is the best one to buy seeing it lasted me more years than others. I live in Massachusetts and trying to find one here, but unsuccessful. Any thoughts and advice is much appreciated!

For my part, I never recommend specific models. If you haven't already found it, go to the Basics section of waterheaterrescue.com and read up. Bradford is a good name, but it's probably more luck that you got so much from your current heater.

Hello,  From this perspective, which ever brand has the best local support and the best, non-pro-rated warranty is the best one to go with.
